You need this in your life

Best popcorn salt and so good for you. I highly recommend!
One of my kids favorite snacks is popcorn and the fine salt never stuck to popcorn and most popcorn seasonings are crap. This is awesome. I will be ordering more as gifts

That sounds like a parenting WIN, Jor! We're so glad you found the perfect salt for your popcorn.

    The best popcorn salt!

I already purchase and enjoy Redmond table salt, but for many years I have kept Redmond’s fine salt on hand - also known as popcorn salt. The fine salt is a great option when making soups or other liquids as you don’t get any dirt-like pieces in a bite. I also sprinkle the fine salt on top of my popcorn kernels and sunflower oil in my oil popper. My popcorn tastes great! Redmond’s table salt is my go-to for baking, salting food, and soaking.

We love your review, Carol! Our Powder Salt (aka Popcorn Salt) is our finest grain, which makes it perfect for the soups, sauces, pickling, and 'liquids' you mentioned.

Because the grains are so tiny, you don't need to use as much salt as most recipes call for—the tiny granules will pack into a teaspoon, for example, and your recipe will end up tasting way saltier than you expected! When I use Powder Salt, I usually use 1/2 the amount the recipe calls for and add more to taste if needed.

    Thanks for sharing, Carol!

    Love this!

We love this on our popcorn! Though I have a hard time not using too much since it’s so fine. Would the shaker for fine salt work for this?

YES—you can always transfer your popcorn salt into a fine salt shaker, just remember that the powdery granules will come out much faster than your typical salt! I find that leaving my powder salt in the bag allows me to add pinches of it at a time, which I find perfect for topping off popcorn.

    Tell Me More

We think salt should be simple. It shouldn’t contain artificial additives or unhealthy pollutants. And it shouldn’t be stripped of beneficial trace minerals. It should be sea salt the way nature made it— nothing added, nothing taken away.

Millions of years before humans began polluting our planet, an ancient ocean covered what is now the Western United States. As the earth shifted and ocean waters retreated beneath the surface, the Real Salt deposit was formed into a massive, underground mountain of crystalized salt protected from erosion by a layer of volcanic ash.

Have you ever wished for a secret ingredient that would make every dish you prepare taste its very best? Compared to typical sea salt, Real Salt has a much smoother flavor profile – a subtle, salty sweetness that naturally enhances the flavor of every bite. Real Salt doesn’t make your food taste like salt, it enhances the flavors you already have.

"For decades we were told by our doctors we should fear salt – and maybe, if your doctor still insists on using processed “sea salt” that is nothing but sodium chloride, we should still be afraid." - Dr. Ken Berry

In prehistoric times, there was an inland sea covering what is now Redmond, Utah, known as the Sundance Sea. That sea is gone, but it left behind a large, pristine, underground salt deposit—which is where we mine Real Salt.

In prehistoric times, there was an inland sea covering what is now Redmond, Utah, known as Sundance Sea. That sea is gone, but it left behind a large, pristine, underground salt deposit—which is where we mine Real Salt. That's why even though our salt lives deep in the earth, it’s actually sea salt.

Real Salt doesn't expire, because natural salt without additives doesn't ever go bad. Food only spoils when fungal, bacterial, yeast, or other microbial growth takes place. All of these require water. Salt doesn’t contain water, so it doesn’t support microbial growth, meaning it won’t spoil. In fact, salt is actually used as a preservative for other foods, like meat.
